Your Spring Skin Care Guide

Out with the cold, in with the new

The temperatures are starting to rise and the harsh, dry winter is on its way out. Is your skin ready for spring?

Winter can be a trying time for your skin, but with rising temperatures and humidity, spring can be just as challenging. That’s why you should consider changing your product lineup to make sure you start the season with beautiful, glowing skin.

1. Cleanse

With the increasing temperature and humidity, it’s likely that you’ll be sweating more than you did before—which means your skin is producing more of the oils that can lead to the appearance of breakouts and acne.

That’s why when spring rolls around, it’s best to switch from a cleanser that fights dry skin to one that is specifically formulated to address oil issues. This way, you can avoid the blemishes, breakouts, and shiny complexion associated with increased oil production.

We recommend: Active Clear Facial Wash, a creamy cleanser that has been infused with Dead Sea minerals and salicylic acid for added oil control.

2. Exfoliate and treat

Exfoliating and treating your skin at least once a week is a crucial part of any skin care routine, especially during the parts of the year with higher humidity.

As we mentioned earlier, you’ll be sweating more and producing more oils. Without proper exfoliation, these oils can become trapped under dead skin cells and turn into unsightly bumps and blemishes.

For the spring and summer months, it’s best to switch to an exfoliant or mask that not only removes these dead skin cells, but also addresses the excess oil.

We recommend: Mineral-Rich Clarifying Mud Mask, pure Dead Sea mud that has been infused with essential oils and an herbal complex to clear away dead skin cells, purify, and detoxify the skin.

3. Moisturize

During the dry winter months, it’s best to use a more intense moisturizer that deeply hydrates the skin. But with the added sweat and oil production that the spring brings, those heavy moisturizes could potentially clog pores and turn your skin into a shiny, oily mess.

You can avoid these issues by switching to a lighter moisturizer that will let you soak up the sun without worrying about skin problems.

We recommend: Essential Moisture Face Cream, an oil-free water based moisturizer containing green tea and cucumber extracts, Dead Sea minerals, and a blend of vitamins to hydrate and nourish. Salicylic acid rounds out this moisturizer for added oil control.

4. Protect

You’ll be spending more time outside as the weather warms up, which means your exposure to the harmful UV rays of the sun will be increased. The final step in your skin care regimen should be to protect your skin with an SPF product.

After all, what good is it to follow a balanced skin care regimen if you aren’t going to protect your skin?

We recommend: CC Cream, a luxurious, lightweight cream that’s available in 3 shades, it’s formulated to color correct a range of complexion issues from redness and dullness to uneven tones and pigmentation. In addition, it has an SPF of 15, so you know your skin will be protected from sun!
